Samsung Thai Nguyen Factory (SEVT) Project was in the first phrase of Hightech Complex of Samsung at Yen Binh Industrial zone in Thai Nguyen Province.

The project started constructing on 25th March 2013 with the total investment of $ 3.2 billion, in which the investment for foundation works reached VND 1.500 billion. This complex was constructed in the area of 100 ha, with designed capacity of 100 millions cellphones and mobile devices each year, including producing and assembling factory worth $ 2 billion and IC processing factory worth $ 1,2 billion. It is expected that by the end of 2013, the first factory of the project will go into operation, employing about 2,000 employees and has more than 30,000 when the whole site was completed.

The complex, which will house Samsung’s world largest mobile phone factory, is expected to offer jobs for tens of thousands of local people and contribute tens of billions of USD to the country’s annual export turnover while boosting the development of electronic supporting industry in the northern region of Vietnam
